Summer Dress

The summer dress every woman needs in her closet, including petite and curvy women. I love this summer dress because it is so flattering, especially for women who want to show off their curves. The wrap- flatters curvy women’s waistline and brings out those beautiful curves. For petite women, it is not so overwhelming and looks great too.

The wrap is a classic that never goes out of style. The versatility of the wrap dress allows you to wear this to work, family events and of course your portrait session. So, if you are sustainably conscious, this dress will serve you to have as your summer dress and all year long.

Depending on how casual you want to go, the wrap dress can be paired with flats, sandals, heels, and even sneakers.

When looking for the right wrap dress, start with neutral colors (black, gray, navy, white, beige) then move to fun colors and patterns. However, if this is for a brand or family portrait session, I’d focus on one color (unless fun color or pattern is a representation of your brand). For family portrait sessions, you should be the only one wearing a pattern to avoid miscoordination. Avoid reds and oranges as well because they will cast a hue on your face.

Fabric is so important for a summer dress. To avoid overheating, look for natural fibers like cotton and linen.
