Amazon Summer Essentials
Being outside is something my family and I enjoy daily. Both my boys at spend tons of hours outside playing with friends. Since summer is around the corner, I want to share my favorite, safe, Amazon summer essentials I use for my whole family.
Sunscreen
When buying sunscreen, I focus on products that are not full of toxic chemicals. The one I use for my family is Badger. They have a line for babies, children, and adults.
I love Badger because of they do not use nano zinc oxide. They use pharmaceuticals grade zinc oxide as the only active ingredient, unlike some major brands that contain oxybenzone and other toxic ingredients.
Rash Guard and Swim Gear
City Threads is my go to brand for swim gear. They have such a wide variety of swimwear for both boys and girls. I love them because they do not use toxic dyes or add toxic chemicals to swimwear to get the UV protection. Instead, they use a tight weave to obtain the UV protection.
For pool safety, Alive Solutions company tested 14 swimsuits in different colors. Most swimsuit colors disappeared! Colors like blue and greens disappeared, but in open water, bright neon colors, like yellow, orange and neon green stood out.
I’ve added a few options below in shades of yellow, orange and neon green.

Toys
Green Toys is the only brand of plastic toys I would recommend. They are made of 100% recycled plastic free from bpa, phthalates, and PVC.
I have added their pool or beach set with shells.
This toy sand play set is super cute too.
Bug Spray
Another favorite Bagder product is their bug spray. It is Deet Free and all their active ingredients are- Organic Soybean Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Organic Citronella Oil, Organic Cedar Oil, Organic Lemongrass Oil, Organic Rosemary Oil, Organic Geranium Oil, Organic Peppermint Oil
Snacks
Stocking up some healthy snacks for the kids this summer if you are beach side or pool side is a must.
The availability of snacks today is unbelievable. You can buy so many tasty snacks varying from pops, to chips, drinks, ice cream, cookies, crackers, and candy.
Here are some of my favorites and my boys favorite snacks as well.
The Siete Grain Free Potato Chips are so, so good. Your kids won’t be disappointed. The ingredients are simple to read and understand as well.
The Good Crips Company has some chips in original flavor. I love these instead of Pringles.
For those with a sweet tooth, Bear Real Fruit Snack Rolls are gluten free, non gmo, and vegan. They have flavors like apple, mango, raspberry, strawberry and strawberry lemon.
YumEarth is another favorite. They have so many options.

Another great brand that has a long list of products is Simple Mills.
Their products range from crackers, cookies, and bars.
The chocolate chip option below is actually kid approved.
The crackers below are cheddar crackers and my son’s favorite.
If your kids are craving something icy, there are two options that are my favorites. I like DeeBee’s Organics Classic Super Fruit Freezie Pops 25 pack and they also have a 50 pack. GoodPop Organic Freezer Pops is a good one as well. They have a pack of 20 or 2-packs of 20.
When I had more time, I use to make my son his own pops with different recipes using popsicle molds. This Onyx come in two different molds.

Health and safety are a priority for my family. I imagine I am not the only mom or parent that feels that way.
We live in Texas, where summer temperatures get in the 100s, so hydration is so important.
For water storage, I like several different brands including Hydro Flask, Klean Kanteen, and SIGG.
I love these brands specifically for because they do not use lead in their construction of the product.
