My family.
We have this silent appreciation for the time we have with each other. The best parts are my nieces and nephews. The love they express and the admiration they have. The random hugs and shouts of “I love you,” make being an aunt ten times better.
One Sunday morning, I look through my cameral roll and I see this photo that my niece shot.
We just finished baking a cake and sharing a slice in silent.
I was burned out that day. I was tired from work and tired from our late night burger outing. The last thing I wanted to do was bake a cake, but I knew it would complete my nieces day.
Doing the right thing only stole three hours of sleep from me, but eating in silence and watching a five year old indulge was worth the sacrifice.
